We are all of us trees

Rooted in our own beleifs
We grow tall against the wind and rain
We stand through storms and hurricanes

We are not what you want us to be
We are not paper, chairs or your favourite book
We are not what keeps your warm or cooks your food

We give shade to those who're close to us
and burn those who abuse us

We throw leaves when were sad
and grow leaves smiling in the sun

We are cut down in our prime
and travel the world ,shadows of who we used to be
